my thanksgiving break

my break started on tuesday 11/24/09 at 5:30 in the morning. my friend had spent the night because we were going to be driving back to the bay. we left CPP at 5:30am. when we got to the 210, we were stuck in traffic for about 15-20 minutes i wanna say. the whole way back was pretty chill. we only stopped twice and we ended up getting into san francisco at about 12pm. we actually got there in pretty good timing. we then ate lunch at a wonton place. it was so good to eat asian food again. then we went back to her house and then we both fell asleep. my dad then came to pick me up to go home. that night, we met up with her and her family to go eat japanese food. and then i got back home and was able to watch so you think you can dance on TV. and then i fell asleep in my nice big bed!

wednesday 11/25/09, i ended up going to westlake shopping center with the same friend i drove back up with. then we met up with one of our friends and went to serramonte for a little bit. then i got dropped off at my moms work so i can go back home with her. when we got home, we were going out to dinner with my grandparents. then later that night, i had to help my mom prep for thanksgiving dinner because she was a little sick. 

thursday 11/26/09 THANKSGIVING DAY, at around 10:30 in the morning, i got woken up by my parents because we had to get going for lunch. so i got up and took a shower and then left to pick up my grandparents to head to lunch. we were meeting my cousins/aunt and uncle there. we ate dim sum. it was so good because i havent eaten it in a long time. that day, i also wanted to go to a turkey day football game. it was the championships between galileo (my high school) and lincoln. its been like 8 years since my school has been in the championships. but then later that day, i found out from a friend that galileo won 35-0. it was so exciting to hear that. the friend that told me is a senior at lincoln. lol anyways...after lunch, we were going back to my house because we usually have thanksgiving at my house. but before going back, i wanted to get a tapioca/boba drink because i havent had one in awhile. so that night, we had a good thanksgiving dinner at my house. my friend then came by that night to pick me up because a few of our friends were hanging out. we just ended up meeting at a friends house and then going to nations and met up with more people. we just hung around there talking because we havent seen each other since like the summer. i then slept over at a friends house that night because we were going to a dance class the next morning.

friday 11/27/09, i got up at around 8am. ate some leftover thanksgiving food for breakfast. then my friend and i headed off to oakland for a cardio hip hop class that her aunt asked us if we wanted to go. the dance class was pretty fun but tiring. i havent worked out that hard in a long time. then got back in the city and hung out with another friend because the friend that i went to the dance class with ended up getting sick, which sucks. so i then went with my other friend to get her nails done and to go shopping. we then went to a friends house before going to chinatown. we got to cameron house around 5:45pm to meet with our group, UNITY to go eat dinner before going to a cameron house alumni event thats hosted by the seniors, called coffee house. we ate pho at our friends parents restaurant. then headed up to cameron house for coffee house. coffee house happens every year for the alumni's to catch up with their group or others. it was fun seeing everybody again and catching up with them. then my group went out to get tapioca drinks and then went bowling. i ended up going home at around 2 in the morning. but what a fun filled day!

saturday 11/28/09, it was a pretty chill day. i woke up around 10 something in the morning and started on some homework. i then ate lunch with my parents because my brother was out already. it felt good to be alone with my parents. then we went out to run some errands. we were going to have dinner, but then we went to a family friends house because we had to drop something off. and we thought we werent going to stay for a long time, but we did anyways. but then i was also going out again that night, so my friend had to pick me up from their house. got picked up around 9:30pm and headed to century 20 in daly city to watch a movie. there were 5 of us and we were going to watch 2012, but by the time we got there, the time we wanted to see it at was full. so we watch ninja assassin. that was an ok movie. we then went to in n out and then we all went home because the next day we were all going back to school. 

sunday 11/29/09, today was the day i have to go back to school. =/ but i went grocery shopping with my grandparents, then had lunch and then went back home to pack. we then had to head to the airport and my flight was at 3:50pm. i ended up seeing quite a few people i knew at the airport. this was a good break to be back home with the family and seeing my friends. i just cant wait for a week and a half before i go back home for winter break!! im so looking forward to it already! =)

what an adventure!!!

so on saturday, angeline and i were bored on campus. we both dont have a car with us even though i have my license which sucks. anyways, we wanted to go on an adventure somewhere. so we decided to take the foothill transit to the westfield in west covina. we left campus around 11:30am and walked to south campus drive and temple to take the 480 foothill transit...i believe. it didnt take much time for the bus to get there. we then hopped on and it was like a 15 minute ride there. but then we got off and walked around. we then realized that we were lost and couldnt find where we wanted to be. so then since angeline has an iphone, we used her map thing to see where we were and where we wanted to go. so as we were walking around trying to figure out where to go, angeline was looking at her map thing and bumped into a pole. it was pretty hilarious. lol we then found another bus that goes to the westfield. so we got on that bus and it was probably another 10-15 minute or so. as we were going near the mall, we both got excited because we finally made our way there. we then shopped around. i got on t-shirts for myself and my brother, bought a pair of nike dunks and 2 pair of sunglasses. we then went to jamba juice because we havent gone to one in a long time. sat there for awhile to figure out where we wanted to go next. we then got hungry so we went to the elephant bar which was right across the street. after eating an early dinner, we were both stuffed and we waited for the bus to go back to campus. we ended up getting back to campus around 7pm which wasnt a bad time. i thought that we had an interesting and successful day. what an adventure we had especially since we're not from socal.

CONGRATS TO THE GALILEO HIGH SCHOOL c/o 2009!! you guys finally made it. i hope you all had fun at graduation. this was the last time where all of you guys will be together even though i know you all will definitely keep in touch with your own friends, just like my class. 08 baby!!! this is just a end to a beginning to start a new chapter in your life. all i wanted to say is that i congratulate all of you and i wish i could have gone. after looking at some pictures from graduation earlier today, it made me think about my own graduation which was only a year ago but it seems like its been forever. it made me realize how much i actually miss my high school years because im just about to be done with my first year of college. it also made me think back to my graduation and here are some pics from it...

so my friend asked me to help him choreograph a dance to knock me down by keri hilson. he asked me because i've taken dance before, but for me, its been awhile. i havent danced since senior year of high school. and plus...i've never choreographed something before. and i've been thinking a lot about it and i wont be working on it till i go home. but if you guys have any ideas, please let me know! lol thanks.

4 weeks left?!?

i cant believe that im about to be done with my first year of college. then im gonna be a second year...already?!? well this year passed by so quickly. in the beginning, i thought it was going by so slowly. but then as i got kinda used to the college life, it started to pick up. even though im going to miss being away from home, im going to be so excited to go home for the summer! and since i have about 3 weeks of school then a week of finals, i know its going to be pretty busy since the school year is almost over. and i know its going to be kinda hard to concentrate when i know a lot of my friends are already on summer break. but its ok. so lets finish our last weeks strong and then enjoy our summer!! =)

home is the place to be...

so this past weekend, i got to go home. i actually had a couple of reasons to why i had to go back. so i left mid-afternoon on friday. when i landed in oakland, it was raining and it kinda rained most of the weekend. then that night, i went and had dinner with my parents and grandparents. i got to eat good chinese food. yum!! then we went to cameron house to pick my brother up from club, but then i also had an interview scheduled. as of right now, i already have a job with cameron house during the summer as a site supervisor. but then i was getting another interview to be one of the three scram week coordinator, which is another program only for a week. its suppose to be a week to get the other coordinators/leaders a break. (hope that all made sense) then on saturday, i got up kinda early to go get a haircut and then i had to go to cameron house cuz it was the annual cameron carnival. this year, carnival was different for me because im not part of the friday night club program and an alumni now. and since im also on summer staff, i had to work the summer program booth to answer any questions parents may have to for the summer programs. so that wasnt that bad, but it was kind of boring at some points. i also watched the senior play, but i thought that ours was better. lol =P but carnival was fun because i got to see a lot of people that i havent seen in a long time. that same day on saturday, i had to leave a little early to go to another interview at a restaurant in north beach area. and im not really sure whats going to happen, but then they might actually set up an internship just for me! im so excited. but we'll just see a little later. then i went back to carnival and hung around my own commission whoever was there. we stayed till it was over and then we all went to dinner and then we went to play pool. it was a fun and eventful day. then on sunday, i didnt have to come back to school till about 10 because that was when my flight landed. im glad that i got to go home to get away from school. and now i cant wait till these 5 weeks are over then its SUMMERTIME for me!!! 

CAMERON CARNIVAL 2009!!!

this coming weekend is the annual cameron carnival in san francisco and i get to go home for it. YAY! i have so many memories about carnival. but my best memory was of last year when my senior group was able to put on a play. this is the annual tradition for seniors to do. but there are other things to do at carnival...play homemade games and win homemade prizes, eat good food, buy baked goods, watch a play, dunk people on dunko, jump in a jumper, win goldfishes, participate in the silent auction, etc. its a full day of excitement and fun! but here are some pictures of our play from last year... (cross-dressing was our surprise!)

URBAN SHOWCASE 2009!!

this past wednesday, april 8th, was the urban showcase. it was an awesome event. there were different performances, dancers and singers. the special guests were TM juniors, Team Millennia, cathy nguyen and randolph permejo and far east movement. and there were performances by cal poly pomona's dance teams, barkada modern and GRV. it was so cool that i got pictures with some of them and i also recorded the dance performances, which are on my facebook if you wanna watch them...

p.s watching all these dance performances made me miss all my hip hop performances when i was back at home. it made me realize how much i love to dance! <3

hanging with the "cousins"

the schools in san francisco are on spring break now. so my "cousins", they arent my real cousins, more like family friends, but we act like we're cousins, but anyways they are on spring break. so on friday, they drove down here and picked me up friday night. after picking me up, we drove down to uci because one of my cousin's girlfriend goes there so we were going to stay in her dorm room. so there was a total of 4 of us, 3 of us are all the same age and my other cousin is 21. so after arriving at uci, we went to get food, got boba drinks then went to albertsons. we ended up playing beer pong that night. that was fun! won two games, then lost the last one, and got kinda tipsy...haha but anyways, we all then fell asleep. the next day, saturday, we went to california adventure. we were there from 11 to about 7. we then went to eat a a tofu house. that was good because i havent had asian food in a long time. then we went back to her dorm room and played beer pong, except we played shot pong instead. that didnt last very long. then we fell asleep. then on sunday,we went to disneyland. we wanted to get there by 8, but that didnt happen because we slept till about 9 something. so we got to disneyland at about 11ish and left about 11ish at night. it was a fun weekend. they then had to drop me back off at school because i had school. if i didnt have class, then i would have still been with them and would get dropped off by monday night or tuesday morning. but it was still a fun weekend overall... =)

Spring Break 09!!!

i had an awesome spring break being back home in the city...SAN FRAN!! so that friday when i got there, i had a late birthday dinner at the house of prime rib. that was sooo good!! but during the day, i went to work with my mom at her pre-school. that was a lot of fun because i havent been there to help her in a long time.

that saturday, i hung with some of my friends and we went shopping. then we met up with more of our friends. we went to go eat pho and then went back to a friends house. then one of our friends dyed his hair before coming back home and he looked so asian. so then we dyed it back to back. then that night, the guys were playing beer pong while us girls were taking pictures. lol

on tuesday night, i went to the beach and had a bonfire with some of my friends. that night, we were only at the beach for about an hour and a half because it got really cold. we then went out for dessert. then we had no idea what we wanted to do. so we kinda just drove around "acting" like tourists. we kind of went all over the city. we went to crissy field, fort point, lombard street, etc

on wednesday, i met up with rosslyn (old elementary friend, now college friend) to go visit our elementary/middle school. it was really cool to visit because both of us havent been back in a really long time. so we visited most of our teachers, talked to them for awhile. we ended up staying for about 4-5 hours just talking to people. 

thursday, i met up with some of my high school friends; erin, rachel, nathan and gordon to go visit our high school. we saw some of the seniors now that we knew before and talked to them about college. we saw some old teachers and talked to them. we also found out some gossip/drama thats been happening around school. oh high school drama...lol when we left, we went to gordon's family's pho place to eat. we used to go there a lot. then us girls split up with them and we went downtown to go shopping. i havent gone shopping in a long time, so it was nice. then i had to go home and had dinner with my family.

on friday, around 11 am, my friend, carina came to pick me up and we went to have lunch at a japanese restaurant. we then as usual had nothing to do until 4ish so we just drove around the city again. we were gonna go watch a movie, but the times werent right. so then we drove through golden gate park and she wanted to see the bisons that are in golden gate park. we then walked through the park because it was a nice day we ended up in the polo fields. we then saw horses and that was pretty amusing. she then dropped me off at lincoln high school cuz she then had to go to work. so i went there to met up with a friend, robert. we've became close friends when i was a junior and he was a freshman. so we hung out for awhile. we went downtown and shopped around cuz he was also looking for a birthday present. we then had dinner. we talked a lot, cuz we were just catching up on things. it was then time for the friday night club program at cameron house. so since i "graduated" from the program, i went with him and i saw a lot of people that i also havent seen in a long time. all the groups were getting ready for the annual carnival. but then that night at around 9, i had an interview because i applied for a job during the summer. so hopefully i get the job because i've also done it last summer. but i wont find out till 2 weeks after...then at night, i hung with with my club group and went to a friends house for awhile. then my "sister" (we act like sisters) slept over because she just got back for her spring break. it sucks how we didnt have the same spring break time.

on saturday, we both slept in till about 11ish. then we ate and left my house at about 2:30ish. we went shopping and then went back to her house and had dinner with my family and her family. we then went over to a friends house, erin's cuz it was most of our last night before going back to school. it was only is girls first; me, erin, ashlyn, rachel, alex and carina. and we watched slumdog millionaire. that was a pretty good movie. then the guys came...jeremy, casey, riley, harrison and chris. we then chilled and then at around 2ish, we all said good-bye cuz most of us were leaving on sunday and the next time we'll all see each other is in the summer. 

then on sunday, i had dim sum with my family and grandparents. then i had to get ready to go to the airport. i was really sad to leave cuz i wasnt ready to go back to school. but im hoping that i can go back up at least once or twice this quarter. ;) so when i got to the airport, i found our that my flight got delayed. i was scheduled to leave at 4:40pm the it got delayed to 6pm. i was kinda mad but whatever. so this was my spring break. i wish it was longer...but now i just know that since we are in the 3rd quarter, its almost the SUMMER and i cant wait!! =D

what a night...

so im back in the city for spring break. oh how im glad to be back! but anyways, yesterday, saturday, i hung out with some unity people (my group from cameron house). jeremy first picked me up then we picked up jeff and jeff had to go to stonestown for something. we then we to serramonte and soon met up with casey. we got hungry and so we went to eat pho and aaron met us there. then we decided to go back to caseys house and told more unity members to come by and hang out like we always do when most of us are back for breaks. it got pretty crazy cuz there were a lot of things going on at once. so my friend jeff had his hair dyed before coming back to the city. but it didnt turn out the way he wanted. it made him look like a "fob" or much more asian. so then he wanted us to dye his hair back to his normal color, black. so we did that. then the guys were playing beer pong and it was just really funny to watch. then they made us march birthday people, which there were 4 of us, but one left already and one didnt do, made us drink a shot each. that was alright. but then i like had other things and the whole night, even when i got home, i wouldnt stop talking. i felt like i kept on rambling on and on. but it was kinda funny. this was a fun and interesting night...as always with my family...unity!! =)

finally...done with econ & poli sci

man...im so glad that this quarter is over with. this was a pretty stressful quarter for me cuz i had econ and poli sci. i shouldn't have taken 2 hard classes in the same quarter cuz its just gonna bring my gpa down, which im disappointed about. but this was just a stressful and scary week for me because im scared about what may happen... both my professors for econ and poli sci were horrible. first of all, they both can't teach so it makes it hard to learn. but thank goodness that i finished all my finals and i get to go HOME...norcal baby!!!

AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE!!!

so i had an unexpected sunday night to monday morning. i knew that two of my friends drove down for the weekend because one of them was back for break cuz he goes to georgia tech. and since i knew they were coming, i asked them to come like maybe when they are on their way back up. but then on sunday around 6ish, i get a call from them asking me if i was busy. i had no idea what they were talking about. then they told me that they were coming from UCR and was going to santa monica. they asked me if i wasnt busy if i would like to join them. i didnt want that offer to go to waste, so i was like sure, also just cuz i havent seen them in a really long time. so they then came to pick me up and we were on our way to santa monica. we walked around the pier, the beach and the walked along the streets at 3rd street promenade. we then left to go to irvine to spend the night. we stayed with one of our friends. then the next morning, we were suppose to have breakfast with my friend's older brother (the one that goes to georgia tech) but then we woke up late. so then we just decided to leave. they then dropped me back off at school and then they were on their way back home. it was a fun and unexpected night/morning that kicked off finals week!! =)

MY 19TH BIRTHDAY!!!! =D

so my birthday was yesterday march 11th, but i didnt have time to post a blog. so im doing it now! so this was my first birthday away from my family and friends back at home. but anyways...let me start from the very beginning of my day! so at 12 midnight on march 11, i got a lot of text messages and then 2 of my friends called me, jeremy and jeff. but at the same time, my roommates walked into our room with a balloon, a card and a home-made cake that they made for me. i thought it was really sweet of them to do that. they also sang to me! then throughout the night, people kept walking into our room saying happy birthday to me so i didnt go to sleep till about 2 in the morning. so i got up around 8:30 am cuz i had to go to class. even though i had class on my birthday, it was still pretty chill. but for lunch lauren, robin and i went to kellogg west to eat, which is a restaurant on our campus. it was really nice, with a nice view and good food. the food was so good that we didnt want to go back to the commons to eat! lol but anyways, then after my classes, i went to disneyland with earhya and her boyfriend. i got to go for free cuz it was my birthday and i had to wear this pin thing. but it was cool. it sucked cuz disneyland closes at 9 on the weekend. =( but then we went to rain forest cafe in downtown disney to eat. then they gave me ice cream and sang to me. haha so here are some pictures from the whole day.

weekend off campus... =D

i had a pretty good weekend. lets first start with my friday night. so i saw the school play on campus called "a view from the bridge". it was a pretty good play. then lauren and i were walking about and we were both like in a laughing mood about anything. as we were walking back from the theater, we were laughing like uncontrollably and then we think that the people who were walking near us thought that we were like high or something, but we werent. haha anyways, we then went to the vending machines cuz lauren was hungry and thirsty. we were like standing there for like 20 minutes. then we walked back and ended up going to in n out with robin and jade cuz they were hungry. got back around 12 and i had to take a shower and pack cuz i was gonna be at UCI for the weekend. and i wanted to get a least enough sleep because i knew that when i go to UCI, i wouldnt get that much sleep. i then fell asleep around 2ish. 

saturday morning, i woke up around 9:30ish to get ready because i was going to be getting picked up at around 10ish. but i didnt get picked up till about 10:30. i got picked up by chelsea's parents because they drove down for the weekend. we then went to the farm store because her parents wanted to check it out. they also had some kind of test tasting thing that the nutrition majors were doing. that was pretty cool. we then left and was on our way to UCI. but before actually going to UCI, we stopped for lunch with chelsea's moms friends and we had filipino food. it was so good cuz i havent thad filipino food in a long time. after eating, we were finally on our way to UCI. when i got there, i met up with erin and went back to her room. we talked for a pretty long time. we then went to their commons cuz erin had a lot of swipes. but then chelsea's parents wanted to take all of us out to dinner. there were about 12 of us at dinner. we went to a chinese place because we dont usually eat chinese food around here. lol but her parents dropped all of us off and then we all split up: me, erin and jeff, chelsea and her friends, and chelsea's brother and his friends. erin, jeff and i went to get tapioca drinks that were only across the street. we got our drinks and sat there for awhile just talking about whatever. then jeff went back to his place cuz it was getting late and he had to get up early for dragonboat practice the next morning. so then erin and i went back to her place and watched a movie. we watched the holiday which was a really cute movie. since it was daylight savings, the whole time change was weird. it was about 3ish when we fell asleep.

the next morning, we woke up at 11:15 to go eat. then when we got back, we watched another movie. we watched the house bunny because erin has never seen it. i then get a phone call from jeff saying that he just got back from practice and that he wanted to see me before i leave. but then i got a call from chelsea saying that her parents are on their way to pick up us. so then i call jeff to tell him that they are on their way, so instead of him showering, he just biked over to see me before i leave. we then got picked up and said bye. it was kinda sad even though im pretty sure i'll see both jeff and erin in like 2 weeks for spring break anyways. we then drove to UCLA to drop off chelsea's brother back off, but before we did, we ate dinner again. after dropping chelsea's brother off, we were then heading back to pomona. it was a pretty good weekend just being away from my own campus and just doing something. 

since i had a fun weekend, its time to crack down and study for finals cuz finals is just next week. then i get to go home for spring break!!! sooo excited. =D and im about to turn 19 in like 2 days! how exciting. im sure i'll post again about my birthday. <3

fun in the sun!

so this past sunday, i went to disneyland...again. this was the 3rd time i went to disneyland in this quarter. but anyways, this trip to disneyland was a different one cuz one of my friends that i went with has never been before. it was a shocking thing when i first heard that she's never been. but it was just a lot of fun showing her around because she's never been and doesnt really know what to expect. we were there from 9 am to about 10 pm. it was a full day worth. it was a lot of fun and i hope she enjoyed it. =D

this is a time i wish i wasnt so far from home.

hey guys. so i just went to disneyland yesterday (a post about that will come later) and when i got back, i took a nice shower then i went online and talked to my mom for a little bit. i told her that i would talk to her some other time because i was really tired. but then, she had to tell me something right before. so anyways, she told me that my grandpa hasnt been feeling all that good. hes been having a short of breathe and has been really tired lately. i got really scared and i really wanted to go home. 

then today, i called my grandparents to talk to them because for one, i havent talked to them in awhile and two, to check on my grandpa. so i talk to them and ask the usual question about how they are doing. and then i talked to my grandpa and asked him how's he been. he told em that he's alright except that he has been having a short of breath and has been really tired. then my grandma told me that they had just made an appointment to see his heart doctor. my mom had to take off work to take them. at about 4 something, i then get a text from my mom saying that after checking with the doctor, he is admitted into the hospital and has fluid in his lungs. the doctors are right now treating him with meds. they could either do an angioplasty or have an open heart surgery for bypass. but he says that hes too old for it and that he is just gonna wait till the lungs are clear just by taking the meds and we have no idea how long its going to take. 

this is why i feel like i want to go home to be with my family, except im too far away at school. so please pray with me. thanks.

already 5 years...

i cant believe that its ben 5 years. feb 20th 2004 was the day my best friend or my "sister" passed away. i could just remember when she was only going through everything. she was already suffering from it a year before she passed. i remember always seeing her and just hanging out either at their house or even having to go to the hospital to see her. she was such a good person that i wish she was still here to where i can experience everything with her, just like when we were little because we were the same age. i miss everything about her that i still think about it to this day. as the time came, i knew things probably wouldnt get any better and all i wished for at the time was for her to still be here for my 14 birthday. but i never got that wish...i actually could still remember everything about the day she passed. i was only in the 8th grade and after school at the time, i was going to the volleyball club at school. but then, i saw my mom and she told me that we had to go. i had no idea why i had to leave, and it was a friday. she then picked me and my brother up from school and told us that we had to pick up her twin sister (also like a sister to, still to this day) and to go to the hospital. at that moment, i knew that something wasnt good. we then go to the hospital and just hung out there for awhile. then when we knew it, it was time for us to leave. their parents told us that her sister would have to stay with us. so we then carried on with the rest of the evening. then it was about 10 something at night when their parents came to our house to pick up her sister to go back home. at that moment, i felt a tension in the room from when her parents came from the hospital. they said that beverly had just passed. i then cried my eyes out and i couldnt stop. at that moment, i felt like my heart just stopped. i ended up crying myself to sleep. 

i will never forget that day. i bet you are looking down on me everyday wishing you were here with me. i wish the same too. i miss you so much beverly pun! you were like the sister i never had and i thank you for all the years you were here. and now...i still cant believe that it already has been 5 years.

saturday night...

so saturday was a fun night that i havent had that much fun in a long time. so i stayed home to eat dinner with my brother cuz my parents had some school fundraiser to go to. then kim yee came by to pick me up and met carina in millbrae at a frozen yogurt place called nubis. its just like all the other frozen yogurt places out there now. lol we then went to walgreens cuz kim wanted to get something. then there was a safeway nearby and kim needed to get something. it was so much fun watching kim walk the whole night. she's so sore from working out for volleyball that we kinda tortured her the whole night. when we were are safeway, she would drop things and instead of helping her, we made her get it and it was just fun to watch. we then decided that we should bake something. so we bought a cake mix to bake. we went make to my house and baked. it was a fun night of baking and taking pictures on my photobooth on my laptop. here are some pictures...to check out more, gotta go to my facebook page. 

weekend back home in the bay!!

it was so cool to be able to go home this weekend, since we had a 3 day weekend for presidents day. it felt good to be in a city again...SAN FRANCISCO. but i left on thursday at about 5 and landed in the bay at around 6:30 pm. my dad then came to pick me up at the oakland airport and drove home. my mom had a home-cooked meal ready and i was for sure ready to eat a home-cooked meal again. it was so good. =D 

then on friday, i went and had lunch with my grandparents at a dim sum place. oh did it feel good to eat good food than go to the commons. lol well, anyways, my dad then came to pick me up and we drove around so i can practice driving. and yes...i dont have my licenses, the transportation is just really easy around the city. but im planning on getting my licenses during the summer. YAY!! so after driving around for awhile, we had to go pick up my brother from his school cuz he was meeting one of his elementary/middle school friend at their old elementary/middle school. when we got there, i realized that i havent been there in a long time since my brother left. i then saw a lot of my old teachers when i was in middle school. it was nice to catch up. then we went to king pool which was in the bayview district to watch the all-city swim meet. i wanted to see how my high school swim team was doing since i was on the team for my last 2 years in high school. stayed there for awhile just watching the swim meets...oh how i miss swimming so much. then we went to meet my mom at her work (preschool) to meet up with her to have dinner. then we had to pick up my brother from a friday night club program (cameron house, a youth based organization that we've been part of for a long time). i then saw a lot of people that i havent seen in a really long time either. it was nice to be around those people again. 

i'll leave another post about my saturday...since it'll probably be a much longer post with pictures too!!!
