AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE!!!

so i had an unexpected sunday night to monday morning. i knew that two of my friends drove down for the weekend because one of them was back for break cuz he goes to georgia tech. and since i knew they were coming, i asked them to come like maybe when they are on their way back up. but then on sunday around 6ish, i get a call from them asking me if i was busy. i had no idea what they were talking about. then they told me that they were coming from UCR and was going to santa monica. they asked me if i wasnt busy if i would like to join them. i didnt want that offer to go to waste, so i was like sure, also just cuz i havent seen them in a really long time. so they then came to pick me up and we were on our way to santa monica. we walked around the pier, the beach and the walked along the streets at 3rd street promenade. we then left to go to irvine to spend the night. we stayed with one of our friends. then the next morning, we were suppose to have breakfast with my friend's older brother (the one that goes to georgia tech) but then we woke up late. so then we just decided to leave. they then dropped me back off at school and then they were on their way back home. it was a fun and unexpected night/morning that kicked off finals week!! =)

MY 19TH BIRTHDAY!!!! =D

so my birthday was yesterday march 11th, but i didnt have time to post a blog. so im doing it now! so this was my first birthday away from my family and friends back at home. but anyways...let me start from the very beginning of my day! so at 12 midnight on march 11, i got a lot of text messages and then 2 of my friends called me, jeremy and jeff. but at the same time, my roommates walked into our room with a balloon, a card and a home-made cake that they made for me. i thought it was really sweet of them to do that. they also sang to me! then throughout the night, people kept walking into our room saying happy birthday to me so i didnt go to sleep till about 2 in the morning. so i got up around 8:30 am cuz i had to go to class. even though i had class on my birthday, it was still pretty chill. but for lunch lauren, robin and i went to kellogg west to eat, which is a restaurant on our campus. it was really nice, with a nice view and good food. the food was so good that we didnt want to go back to the commons to eat! lol but anyways, then after my classes, i went to disneyland with earhya and her boyfriend. i got to go for free cuz it was my birthday and i had to wear this pin thing. but it was cool. it sucked cuz disneyland closes at 9 on the weekend. =( but then we went to rain forest cafe in downtown disney to eat. then they gave me ice cream and sang to me. haha so here are some pictures from the whole day.

weekend off campus... =D

i had a pretty good weekend. lets first start with my friday night. so i saw the school play on campus called "a view from the bridge". it was a pretty good play. then lauren and i were walking about and we were both like in a laughing mood about anything. as we were walking back from the theater, we were laughing like uncontrollably and then we think that the people who were walking near us thought that we were like high or something, but we werent. haha anyways, we then went to the vending machines cuz lauren was hungry and thirsty. we were like standing there for like 20 minutes. then we walked back and ended up going to in n out with robin and jade cuz they were hungry. got back around 12 and i had to take a shower and pack cuz i was gonna be at UCI for the weekend. and i wanted to get a least enough sleep because i knew that when i go to UCI, i wouldnt get that much sleep. i then fell asleep around 2ish. 

saturday morning, i woke up around 9:30ish to get ready because i was going to be getting picked up at around 10ish. but i didnt get picked up till about 10:30. i got picked up by chelsea's parents because they drove down for the weekend. we then went to the farm store because her parents wanted to check it out. they also had some kind of test tasting thing that the nutrition majors were doing. that was pretty cool. we then left and was on our way to UCI. but before actually going to UCI, we stopped for lunch with chelsea's moms friends and we had filipino food. it was so good cuz i havent thad filipino food in a long time. after eating, we were finally on our way to UCI. when i got there, i met up with erin and went back to her room. we talked for a pretty long time. we then went to their commons cuz erin had a lot of swipes. but then chelsea's parents wanted to take all of us out to dinner. there were about 12 of us at dinner. we went to a chinese place because we dont usually eat chinese food around here. lol but her parents dropped all of us off and then we all split up: me, erin and jeff, chelsea and her friends, and chelsea's brother and his friends. erin, jeff and i went to get tapioca drinks that were only across the street. we got our drinks and sat there for awhile just talking about whatever. then jeff went back to his place cuz it was getting late and he had to get up early for dragonboat practice the next morning. so then erin and i went back to her place and watched a movie. we watched the holiday which was a really cute movie. since it was daylight savings, the whole time change was weird. it was about 3ish when we fell asleep.

the next morning, we woke up at 11:15 to go eat. then when we got back, we watched another movie. we watched the house bunny because erin has never seen it. i then get a phone call from jeff saying that he just got back from practice and that he wanted to see me before i leave. but then i got a call from chelsea saying that her parents are on their way to pick up us. so then i call jeff to tell him that they are on their way, so instead of him showering, he just biked over to see me before i leave. we then got picked up and said bye. it was kinda sad even though im pretty sure i'll see both jeff and erin in like 2 weeks for spring break anyways. we then drove to UCLA to drop off chelsea's brother back off, but before we did, we ate dinner again. after dropping chelsea's brother off, we were then heading back to pomona. it was a pretty good weekend just being away from my own campus and just doing something. 

since i had a fun weekend, its time to crack down and study for finals cuz finals is just next week. then i get to go home for spring break!!! sooo excited. =D and im about to turn 19 in like 2 days! how exciting. im sure i'll post again about my birthday. <3

fun in the sun!

so this past sunday, i went to disneyland...again. this was the 3rd time i went to disneyland in this quarter. but anyways, this trip to disneyland was a different one cuz one of my friends that i went with has never been before. it was a shocking thing when i first heard that she's never been. but it was just a lot of fun showing her around because she's never been and doesnt really know what to expect. we were there from 9 am to about 10 pm. it was a full day worth. it was a lot of fun and i hope she enjoyed it. =D

this is a time i wish i wasnt so far from home.

hey guys. so i just went to disneyland yesterday (a post about that will come later) and when i got back, i took a nice shower then i went online and talked to my mom for a little bit. i told her that i would talk to her some other time because i was really tired. but then, she had to tell me something right before. so anyways, she told me that my grandpa hasnt been feeling all that good. hes been having a short of breathe and has been really tired lately. i got really scared and i really wanted to go home. 

then today, i called my grandparents to talk to them because for one, i havent talked to them in awhile and two, to check on my grandpa. so i talk to them and ask the usual question about how they are doing. and then i talked to my grandpa and asked him how's he been. he told em that he's alright except that he has been having a short of breath and has been really tired. then my grandma told me that they had just made an appointment to see his heart doctor. my mom had to take off work to take them. at about 4 something, i then get a text from my mom saying that after checking with the doctor, he is admitted into the hospital and has fluid in his lungs. the doctors are right now treating him with meds. they could either do an angioplasty or have an open heart surgery for bypass. but he says that hes too old for it and that he is just gonna wait till the lungs are clear just by taking the meds and we have no idea how long its going to take. 

this is why i feel like i want to go home to be with my family, except im too far away at school. so please pray with me. thanks.
