me choreograph something??

so my friend asked me to help him choreograph a dance to knock me down by keri hilson. he asked me because i've taken dance before, but for me, its been awhile. i havent danced since senior year of high school. and plus...i've never choreographed something before. and i've been thinking a lot about it and i wont be working on it till i go home. but if you guys have any ideas, please let me know! lol thanks.

4 weeks left?!?

i cant believe that im about to be done with my first year of college. then im gonna be a second year...already?!? well this year passed by so quickly. in the beginning, i thought it was going by so slowly. but then as i got kinda used to the college life, it started to pick up. even though im going to miss being away from home, im going to be so excited to go home for the summer! and since i have about 3 weeks of school then a week of finals, i know its going to be pretty busy since the school year is almost over. and i know its going to be kinda hard to concentrate when i know a lot of my friends are already on summer break. but its ok. so lets finish our last weeks strong and then enjoy our summer!! =)

home is the place to be...

so this past weekend, i got to go home. i actually had a couple of reasons to why i had to go back. so i left mid-afternoon on friday. when i landed in oakland, it was raining and it kinda rained most of the weekend. then that night, i went and had dinner with my parents and grandparents. i got to eat good chinese food. yum!! then we went to cameron house to pick my brother up from club, but then i also had an interview scheduled. as of right now, i already have a job with cameron house during the summer as a site supervisor. but then i was getting another interview to be one of the three scram week coordinator, which is another program only for a week. its suppose to be a week to get the other coordinators/leaders a break. (hope that all made sense) then on saturday, i got up kinda early to go get a haircut and then i had to go to cameron house cuz it was the annual cameron carnival. this year, carnival was different for me because im not part of the friday night club program and an alumni now. and since im also on summer staff, i had to work the summer program booth to answer any questions parents may have to for the summer programs. so that wasnt that bad, but it was kind of boring at some points. i also watched the senior play, but i thought that ours was better. lol =P but carnival was fun because i got to see a lot of people that i havent seen in a long time. that same day on saturday, i had to leave a little early to go to another interview at a restaurant in north beach area. and im not really sure whats going to happen, but then they might actually set up an internship just for me! im so excited. but we'll just see a little later. then i went back to carnival and hung around my own commission whoever was there. we stayed till it was over and then we all went to dinner and then we went to play pool. it was a fun and eventful day. then on sunday, i didnt have to come back to school till about 10 because that was when my flight landed. im glad that i got to go home to get away from school. and now i cant wait till these 5 weeks are over then its SUMMERTIME for me!!! 

CAMERON CARNIVAL 2009!!!

this coming weekend is the annual cameron carnival in san francisco and i get to go home for it. YAY! i have so many memories about carnival. but my best memory was of last year when my senior group was able to put on a play. this is the annual tradition for seniors to do. but there are other things to do at carnival...play homemade games and win homemade prizes, eat good food, buy baked goods, watch a play, dunk people on dunko, jump in a jumper, win goldfishes, participate in the silent auction, etc. its a full day of excitement and fun! but here are some pictures of our play from last year... (cross-dressing was our surprise!)

URBAN SHOWCASE 2009!!

this past wednesday, april 8th, was the urban showcase. it was an awesome event. there were different performances, dancers and singers. the special guests were TM juniors, Team Millennia, cathy nguyen and randolph permejo and far east movement. and there were performances by cal poly pomona's dance teams, barkada modern and GRV. it was so cool that i got pictures with some of them and i also recorded the dance performances, which are on my facebook if you wanna watch them...

p.s watching all these dance performances made me miss all my hip hop performances when i was back at home. it made me realize how much i love to dance! <3
